An Observatory in Cyprus

Happy New Year to you all.  Already things are building up for this New Year.  I have been asked to judge deep-sky images submitted to a large Astrofest meeting to be held in Tenerife later this year.  Also on the astronomy theme, I am working with an entrepreneur to set up an observatory atop a mountain in Cyprus – keep watching Concept2Innovation regularly to keep up with developments.  I already have a number of bookings for my “Magic of Photography” presentation as well as several bookings for my specialist DSLR courses – so 2011 is set to be a busy year.

High Power DC Light Source

I am developing a more compact high-power D.C. light source for high speed videography.

Return regularly to this page to keep up with the latest developments.  This revolutionary new product will be the next piece of innovative Parker Technology to be commercially available.

I also took early retirement from the University of Southampton this month so I am now 100% Parker Technology :)

New Product – High Speed Flash

Discussions with high-speed video guru Tony Allen showed me a gaping hole in the market for another light-based product.  Conventional lighting sources give a clear and unwanted modulation of the light intensity of illuminated subjects that are being video recorded at high speed.  Parker Technology has a completely flicker-free light source for your high speed videography.  Available with individual heads rated at 300W (you can have as many heads as you want illuminating the subject) Parker Technology can provide you with a high-tech solution to this particular problem.

New Product – DLSR Quick Release Handle

Parker Technology introduces a new product for photojournalists and semi-professionals – a quick release handle to take the weight of your bulky DSLR/zoom lens combo off your neck.

The quick release attachment has a safety device to prevent unwanted accidental disconnection of the handle – but we do advise that you also always carry the camera with the safety strap wrapped around your wrist as well!  You can never be too careful with your expensive gear.

The handle is manufactured in smooth black-anodised aluminium and is a nice ergonomic fit essential when carrying your photographic kit for extended periods of time.
